Claire Gabert - NJ Interior Designer"At F.I.T., I not only furthered my love of interior design, but I also advanced my interests to include restaurant design and space planning."

After attending the High School of Music and Art , Claire continued college at Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T), NYC, graduating with a degree in interior design.

"As an interior designer at Hillier, I worked in every kind of design imaginable. Planning spaces that people could really use became my passion."

After working as an interior designer at various companies in New York City, Claire joined the Hillier Group in Princeton, NJ, an international architectural firm where she honed her expertise in interior design, architecture, office space planning, restaurant design, retail store design, and medical offices and assisted living facilities.

"My aim is to keep designing. I am passionate about creating spaces that solve problems, are aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for the user. Space planning is like putting a puzzle together. It must not only fit comfortably, it must look great too. Every floor plan should have a graphically pleasing rhythym, one that creates a sense of community inside and out."

In 1990, Claire started Gabert Designs, Inc., a place where "we visualize interior solutions for your business."
